My name is Dakota Baker, I'm the pastor at St Luke CBC. After growing up in Mount Jackson and graduating high school in 2018, I went on to the University of Viriginia where I graduated with a history degree in 2021. While I grew up believing in God, I did not grow up in church. I began attending Wakemans Grove COB in 2016 and joined the congregation through baptism in 2018.
It was at UVA through InterVarsity (IV), however, where I truly became a follower of Jesus and I would go on to serve as IV staff for 5 years across UVA, JMU, and Bridgewater College. While on staff, I completed my MDIV online through Ashland Theological Seminary in 2024 before being called as a pastor at St Luke in June of 2025.
