Bio: Brother Lee Smith has been serving as pastor of the Mt. Joy Covenant Brethren Church for a little over 12 years now. He came there in July 2011 following a year as interim pastor at Wakeman's Grove Church of the Brethren in Edinburg, VA while still pretty fresh out of seminary. He was born and raised in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and Religion from Bridgewater College in Bridgewater, VA and a Master of Divinity from Capital Bible Seminary in Lanham, MD. Currently, Pastor Lee serves on the Region 3 of the Covenant Brethren Church's Executive Board and compiled and contributed to the denomination's Minister's Manual. He is committed to the verse by verse expository preaching of the Bible and helping others come to a greater understanding of who our wonderful God is and what He has done in His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, through a better understanding of His Word. When you can't find him in his office studying, he will either be walking at a local park, playing with his kids, or reading a book. He is married to his lovely wife, Laura, and they are blessed with two fun boys, John and Jeremiah. He is looking forward to being able to minister to the very congregation that has ministered to him so much growing up.
